End COVID For All

We want to thank everyone who signed their name and let our leaders know that you believe in supporting vulnerable communities to tackle COVID-19! Together with supporters like you, our calls to #EndCOVIDForAll were heard and Plan International Australia welcomed the news that the Australian Government has pledged another $500 million to help eradicate COVID-19 across South East Asia and the Pacific. We know that the COVID-19 crisis isn’t going to end until it ends for everyone. The faster we tackle this pandemic together, the faster we can create a more equal post-COVID-19 world.

In April 2020, Plan International declared an unprecedented Red-Level Emergency across the entire organisation. We recognised that this pandemic was the greatest threat to children’s rights and equality for girls, in both its scale and its severity.

With more than 80 years of experience, we are expertly placed to respond to this crisis. We’re working to support and protect the most vulnerable children around the world, including girls who are at risk of increased rights violations due to this crisis.

Plan International’s response to COVID-19 is focused on working with communities, governments and partners in Asia, the Pacific and Africa to tackle the spread of the virus through disseminating public health information, promoting best hygiene practices, and assisting communities to install hand-washing facilities. We are also supporting those directly affected in refugee and displaced persons camps in Bangladesh and Southern and Eastern Africa.
