Children in Crisis

Our Children in Crisis Fund provides rapid support for children and their families caught in crises. As a Plan Rapid Responder, your donation ensures that immediate and life-saving funds are available and ready to be deployed immediately when disaster strikes.

From earthquakes, floods and cyclones to conflict and displacement, we aim to meet the needs of children and their families as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours. Your support will enable us to provide nutritious food, clean water, safe places for children to play and learn, and kits that include the essentials like nappies, sanitary pads and soap.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Children in Crisis Fund work?

The Children in Crisis Fund is a Plan International Australia program focused on our humanitarian response work. When you donate to the Children in Crisis Fund, you become a Plan Rapid Responder.

Your gift helps to ensure that funds are available and ready to be deployed as soon as disaster strikes.

As a Rapid Responder, you become part of a critical community that provides urgent and life-saving support to children and their families when they need it most.

Your donations will be used to provide a rapid emergency response to a range of crises, from earthquakes, floods and cyclones, to conflict, displacement, and everything in between.

This could mean immediate access to cash transfers and food supplies, allowing families to support themselves through displacement. It could be the comfort and protection of shelter to support families who have lost everything, or safe spaces for education and play.
