The time to protect children is now.

The five-year-long Syrian civil war has triggered a massive humanitarian crisis. Four million people are fleeing the country, seeking places safer than home. About a quarter of them are children.

Children who survive the journey arrive hungry, tired, and emotionally traumatised from the terrifying events of war. With the support of Australians like you, we can protect the health and safety of Syrian children now.

YOU CAN HELP PROTECT LIVES

We're working with partners to provide life-saving aid to refugees throughout Europe and the Middle East, where Syrian refugees are arriving in the thousands, every day. Your donation will allow us to deliver:

  • healthcare to children in refugee camps
  • provide counselling to children who have experienced trauma
  • safe spaces for children and young people to play and relax

Every dollar helps

"THEN A BOMB FELL AND WE ESCAPED."

Nine year-old Syrian refugee Laial lives in Egypt after escaping her home country. She now attends one of Plan International’s child-friendly spaces, where she is able to learn and play.

“I’m Laial. I’m in year three and I’m nine years’ old. We used to have a nursery that had toys, a house and things, it was like a garden. We used to go outdoors and play on a swings and slides and the house. Then a bomb fell and we escaped.

I come here with my friends, we play with toys and we draw. And we play with the teachers. We feel happy and play snakes and ladders with the teachers.”
