The Rohingya are "the most persecuted minority in the world"*

The Rohingya are a small ethnic group whose people were driven out of Myanmar by severe violence in 2017. Thousands of men, women, and children were killed.

They are not recognised as citizens of any nation, which means they are not protected by laws in the refugee camps where the live.

Around 1.5 million Rohingya are crowded into the Cox’s Bazar camp in Bangladesh. Food and other essential resources are scarce.

In desperation, families make terrible sacrifices to survive.

Girls are forced into child marriages. Children risk their lives to earn money. Women and children are especially vulnerable to violence.

The better life for refugees starts with safety. And that’s what you can help provide with a donation here now.

Help refugees like the Rohingya build better futures

Women and girls are especially vulnerable

Yasmin witnessed horrific violence as a teenager.

As her family fled Myanmar, she saw people attacked, beaten and executed.

They walked for seven days to arrive at a refugee camp in Bangladesh where Yasmin still isn’t safe.

There’s not enough food and few ways to earn an income. Women and children face a constant risk of violence and abuse.

Will you please donate to help keep them safe?

Your gift here now can help bring safety to refugee women and girls like Yasmin so they can start building a better life.

Help bring safety to refugees like the Rohingya

Help create a future that's built on safety

Rohingya children and young people remain remarkably resilient despite the daily challenges they face. Your kindness can help bring them safety, so they can start building the better lives they deserve.

Your tax deductible gift before 30 June could help:

  • Keep girls safes from child marriage through youth groups and programs that raise awareness of the harmful effects of child marriage and the positive benefits of girls receiving an education.
  • Protect the most at-risk children through community-led programs to identity vulnerable children and provide them with mental health and emotional support, as well as safe spaces to learn and play.
  • Provide livelihood training and tools so that girls and young women can earn an independent living to support their families and make their own life choices.
