They came to a displacement camp in southern Ethiopia in search of food and water, but there isn’t enough to go around.
In February, governments around the world began making sudden, drastic cuts to humanitarian aid programs that could help families like Kesha’s.
Now there is a dangerous shortage of life-saving support and too many lives are at risk.
Will you please donate to help fill the hunger gap?
Your generous gift can help bring food and aid to families like Kesha’s so they don’t have to face this crisis alone.
At the start of 2025, Ethiopia was already experiencing severe food shortages.
Conflict and climate crises have driven millions of people from their homes to seek food and safety in displacement camps.
Cuts to government humanitarian aid have seen much of the support they rely on scaled back. Support programs have shut down, life-saving supplies like food and medicine are harder to access, and children are suffering.
Hunger hurts children’s bodies and brains. It makes them too tired to play or concentrate in school. And their immune systems are weakened, putting them at risk of infection, disease, and even death.
Too many mothers have already lost children to this crisis. And they can’t rely on the government aid that should help them.
Every gift, every dollar, makes a difference. Your donation will help bring life-saving food, and hope of survival, to families in urgent need.
