Digital Advertising Advisor

You’re invited! Come and be a part of Plan International Australia’s exciting new digital expansion strategy.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen at Plan International Australia for a Digital Advertising Advisor to work closely with the marketing and communications team, as well as across the organisation, to ensure PIA’s digital marketing activities deliver for the organisation’s broader marketing, fundraising, and influencing objectives.

You will be responsible for designing, building and executing multichannel digital advertising campaigns to increase Plan International Australia’s digital fundraising and brand presence.

Who are we?

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it’s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 85 years, and are now active in more than 80 countries.

What is it really like?

On an average day in the PIA, your tasks will include creating content for Plan International Australia’s media campaigns on Facebook, overseeing the execution of these campaigns, optimising the set up and reporting results.

In the role, you will also:

  • Develop advertising strategies that are in line with the broader Marketing and Fundraising Strategy, to improve efficiency and maximise ROI
  • Write and implement compelling ads that can accurately target audiences at various stages of the funnel
  • Choose, and at times, commission imagery to be used in campaigns
  • Strategically plan and implement paid online advertising campaigns
  • Maintain campaign reports and analytics – providing insights and recommendations to improve campaign performance
  • Effectively manage campaign budget allocation
  • Share insights on active campaigns, identify new trends, and highlight relevant business opportunities within the social media space
  • Manage and optimising media buy with suppliers as required
  • Optimise conversion rates landing and donation pages.
