The Papua New Guinea WASH Project Officer is specifically responsible for in-country planning, budgeting, coordination, and implementation of Water for Women Fund project in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, and for coordinating and delivering training for communities, schools, Health Care Facilities and local government personnel involved in project activities.

We are looking for a development professional who has:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community-led development programs.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in coordinating, training, facilitating and capacity building of community members and/or community-based organisations.
  • Experience and/or awareness of the WASH approaches, such as Community-led Total Sanitation, Water Safety Planning, UNICEF 3-Star School standards, WASH in Schools, and WASH and gender and social inclusion.
  • Experience working in a project implementation team delivering a complex project targeting gender and socially inclusive social change.
  • Experience in gender and social inclusion approaches within the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of WASH programs.
