John Morley is the Program Development Manager for Plan International Australia, a role which includes developing and supporting processes and procedures for institutional donor bids and aligning program strategy, portfolio planning and acquisition. He leads on development of relationships with key institutional donors and manages the grants management team.
Morley has degrees in Science and Urban & Regional Planning. Before Plan, he was with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, and the former Australian Agency for International Development, including postings to Afghanistan and Fiji. Morley has worked on a broad range of development issues including stabilisation in conflict affected areas, climate change, disaster risk reduction, agricultural market access, financial inclusion, humanitarian response and NGO accreditation, and funding policy and practice. Earlier in his career Morley worked on environment, climate change and natural resource management policy and programs for state and federal government agencies.
