Chrissy Galerakis' role as the Gender & Inclusion in Emergencies Technical Advisor is the support Plan's gender transformative agenda in the Disaster Risk & Resilience team across the food security, disaster risk reduction, climate change and humanitarian portfolios. She is responsible for supporting project managers mainstream gender and inclusion principals throughout all stages of the project management cycle, from project development, project design, monitoring and evaluations.

Chrissy’s first degree was a Bachelor of Politics & Policy Study, she has a Master’s degree in International Development and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Gender Mainstreaming & Policy Analysis. Chrissy began her development career at Plan in 2014, initially supporting the Director of the DFAT-funded Humanitarian Partnership Agreement, and then as the Disaster Risk & Resilience Project Officer.
