We are about to rebuild a School in Nepal thanks to YOUR generosity

We have reached our target!

Thanks to the generous support of 88 donors giving a total of $200,002.22 we will start to rebuild the Suryodaya School in August.

844 children living in this remote area of Nepal will be back in safe permanent classrooms by the close of 2018!

We thank you on behalf of the children and their community and look forward to updating this space with project updates in the coming months.

We will be renewing our fundraising efforts over the coming months to equip the school with new learning materials, library books and classroom furniture.

Our very special thanks to Ms Barbara Hickson for her enthusiasm and generous philanthropy in championing this important campaign.

“Over the years, I've visited many communities in Nepal where Plan International has been working and I've seen first-hand how transformative our donations have been. When children have access to education, they are more likely to overcome disadvantage - and this has a flow on effect for their families and the wider community.”

"I have always felt that people are generous and like to help where they can, especially when they feel a connection. And through Plan International, we really connect with the children directly and feel a great sense of empathy for their lives. We get to know them through cards and letters; it makes me keen to help them more."

“I hope you can join me as we rebuild Suryodaya Secondary School.”

"Show your support for the children who have already lost so much. It's an exciting project to be a part of, and I hope you can join me as we rebuild Suryodaya Secondary School."
