Our Global Network

Plan Australia is part of Plan International, one of the world's largest community development organisations.

All offices in the Plan family have responsibility for fundraising, building relationships, development programs, advocacy, public education and young people's participation. Eighteen of those offices are in developed countries so they carry the major responsibility for raising funds. Plan's offices in 49 developing countries carry the major responsibility for implementing development programs that benefit children.

International Headquarters

Plan's international coordination centre is in the UK. It has responsibility for guiding the overall efforts for children and overseeing the transfer of resources.

Fundraising Organisations

Plan is represented by 18 independent member organisations including Plan International Australia, which are the main fundraising arms of Plan. They provide financial and technical resources to communities and serve as links between sponsors, donors and the children. Visit the websites of Plan's other member organisations below.

Regional Offices

Plan's regional offices in West Africa (Senegal), East and Southern Africa (Kenya), Asia (Thailand) and Latin America (Panama) facilitate the continual development of the child centred community development approach and provide guidance, logistics and technical support to country offices.

Program Country Offices

Usually located in the capital cities of the developing countries where Plan works, the Country Office promotes and steers child centred community development in all program areas of the country. It does this by developing country staff and systems and establishing partnerships and linkages at the national and international levels.

The Program Unit

The Program Unit is at the frontline and is responsible for the implementation of all of Plan's programs within a program area (usually covering a province).
