Rotary District 9520
Rotary International is a worldwide organisation of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Plan is proud to partner with Rotary District 9520. The District covers parts of four Australian states (South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria) and there are about 1,600 Rotarians – the name for members at Rotary – in 57 Clubs.
Rotary District 9520 is fully funding the material costs for our Improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in three communities in Timor-Leste. This support will help Plan to improve the health of children, their families and their communities in Timor-Leste by delivering sustainable community-managed water and sanitation services.
District 9520 is helping improve the lives of communities in Timor Leste by providing basic water and sanitation infrastructure that we, in the developed world, take for granted. We are pleased to have formed a Partnership with Plan and look forward to working together to improving the lives of hundreds of families in Timor. The provision of safe water and sanitation is the essential first step to reducing child mortality rates and helping families relieve themselves of poverty.
Plan is looking forward to working with Rotary District 9520 and its many volunteers and as a result improve the water and sanitation in developing countries like Timor-Leste, so that children can live in a healthier environment and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
