Jetabroad provides its customers the opportunity to make a micro-donations when they book their flights online. This great partnership has raised $18,200 for our Cambodia Empowering Poorest Families project and now the organisation is aiming to raise $30,000 for Plan's Early Childhood Care and Development project in India.
Children as agents of change in their communities - what a great idea! Jetabroad was drawn to the idea of supporting Plan because of this philosophy. I think we sometimes underestimate what children are capable of, and supporting children in need should include their involvement in shaping how projects are implemented on the ground. Plan's approach suggests a greater focus on sustainable support which includes the development of future community leaders.
Jetabroad is one of the largest online international travel agencies in Australia/NZ and has implemented a micro-donation facility on its website. Thousands of customers agree to donate a few dollars with their flight booking which adds up to tens of thousands of dollars in support of Plan's projects.
