1.4 Billion Reasons for Youth: Global Poverty Project Partnership with Plan

Here at Plan we know the impact inspirational role models can have on young people's lives.

This is why Plan has joined with the Global Poverty Project to deliver a youth focused version of their '1.4 Billion Reasons' presentation across Australia.

This Plan and the Global Poverty Project presentation outlines why poverty exists, the impact on the children and communities, and what we can do to overcome it.

Plan and the Global Poverty Project are driving bookings during the month of October for anti-poverty week, the 16th-22nd of October.

Would you like to inspire youth and share your passion for ending extreme poverty? Do you know someone who would be able to host 1.4 Billion Reasons for Youth presentation during anti-poverty week?

Who can host the presentation?

A presentation of 1.4 Billion Reasons can be hosted by anyone, anywhere in Australia.  Hosting a presentation is an easy way for you to contribute to the movement to end poverty. The Global Poverty Project has been hosted by Schools, Universities, Organisations, Corporate Businesses, Community Groups, Faith Based Groups and individuals all across Australia. 

 


How do I host a presentation of 1.4 Billion Reasons?

The booking process is easy.  We ask that you complete an online booking form found on the Global Poverty Project website. Please make sure you read the information on the form carefully.

Once your online booking has been received, the team at the Global Poverty Project will be in touch to confirm details.

Can bookings be made for outside of Anti-Poverty Week?

The Global Poverty Project is delivering presentations across Australia throughout the entire year. If you are interested in hosting a presentation outside of anti-poverty week please visit the website and follow the prompts. Bookings can also be made for 2012.

If I want to take action after seeing a presentation who can I contact?


The first person to contact is the person that hosted the presentation. This may be a teacher, a community leader, an individual etc. The bookings team at the Global Poverty Project will be working hard to make sure the host is equipped with ideas and resources to enable action after the presentation.
