This project is helping to make schools in Bangladesh safer and more inspiring places to learn. With your support we will continue to help children improve their grades and reach their full potential.
Sreepur Province
July 2009 - June 2012
This project has been fully-funded for FY12.

Going to school in Bangladesh can be a frightening experience. Teaching is by rote learning and children may be beaten for simply asking a question or making a mistake. Children from impoverished rural communities are usually first-generation learners and struggle to keep up.
Primary school drop-out rates are high and although preschool education is important for preparing children for primary school, just 23% of children receive any early childhood education.
With your support, Plan is working to help rural and semi-rural Bangladeshi children get a better start to life through access to quality education.
