Plan Australia

Fundraising

Plan raises more than US$595 million a year globally, primarily through child sponsorship. Sponsors make regular contributions to support Plan's work in their sponsored child's community. This means Plan has access to predictable funds, allowing long-term work to be planned. Sponsorship donations do not go directly to the individual child, but are used to benefit the whole community so that all their children have the chance of a better future.

The remainder of Plan's funding comes from government and institutional grants and other income sources, including project sponsorship (either via one-off donations or regular giving schemes like Children First!), appeals, bequests, gift and merchandise sales and investment income.

We're one of the few global organisations that publish combined worldwide financial statements, making our operations and expenditures completely transparent.
