Understanding your sponsored child's religion

Child sponsorship helps participants to increase their understanding of different cultures and countries and often the best insights can be found by learning about the religion that your child and family practices.  It can help you in deciding what to discuss in your letters or what questions to ask.

A card from you on your sponsored child's special holidays sends an important message over the miles.  Of course, these are only brief overviews.  You'll find great richness through further study of your child's religion in specialised bookstores, libraries and on the internet.

Please note that we have outlined below only religions practised widely in Plan's partner communities.
