Quentin Bryce holds a copy of our Because I am a Girl report.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the positive impact girls and women have around the world, Marsh & McLennan Companies and Plan have organised a Because I am a Girl charity lunch with Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Join the Governor-General and Anne Skipper, Chair of the Board of Plan International Australia, for lunch at the National Gallery of Victoria and a private viewing of Gustave Moreau’s The Eternal Feminine exhibit.
The event will explore Plan’s Because I am a Girl campaign and in particular how investing in women and girls can help break the cycle of poverty and promote economic growth. This very special lunch will be hosted by Jennifer Byrne, ABC journalist, writer and host of the First Tuesday Book Club program.
Your participation on the day will not only help make a difference to the lives of women and girls around the world but provide you with an opportunity to connect with other senior executives who are committed to this important cause. We will also be offering a number of exclusive silent auction and raffle prizes to further support the important work of Plan International Australia.
