Children take part in games led by Plan staff in Jacmel, south Haiti.
Plan International staff in Haiti continue to work tirelessly to help the huge numbers of people affected by last week’s earthquake.
Despite the transport problems highlighted by the world’s media, emergency aid funded by Plan donors is reaching victims of the earthquake.

Plan has provided 1500 families with food every day since the quake struck and a shipment of vital Plan aid - including 4000 tents and more than 300 survival kits – has been distributed across the Jacmel area in southern Haiti.
Thousands more survival kits – containing items such as food, water purification tablets, tarpaulin sheets, soap, flash lights, cups and plates – are also being sent from the neighbouring Dominican Republic.
Plan's convoy of three aid trucks reached the capital of Port-au-Prince last Friday and other supplies are en route.
Plan's immediate response includes providing water, food and other vital supplies to those in the makeshift camps in Port-au-Prince and Jacmel.
We are also working with children to help them overcome the mental and emotional impact of the earthquake. So far 250 children have taken part in Plan’s therapeutic games clubs, which provide them with a break from the misery of life on the rubble strewn streets.
Staff are also now conducting assessments of other affected areas and working on plans to bring in more aid.
