Win a journey aboard the Tamworth Country Music Train

Generously donated during the Christmas season by Victorian Country Newspapers

Be a part of one of Australia's cultural icons –  the Tamworth Country Music Festival – and treat yourself to the holiday experience of a lifetime in January 2007.

Thanks to Victorian Country Newspapers, international children’s agency Plan is pleased to offer a fantastic prize of tickets for two people aboard the Tamworth Country Music Train (www.tamworthcountrymusictrain.com.au), accommodation aboard the train during the trip and during the Telstra Country Music Festival Tamworth 2007 and some meals. Return airfares for two people from the nearest capital city will be included for an inter-state winner. The prize is valued at more than $3000!

For ten days and nine nights you can be part of this unique train journey on board the specially chartered Southern Aurora. The train takes you into the heart of Tamworth and is then stabled at the West Tamworth siding within easy walking distance of venues, shopping centres and restaurants. Stay on board the train while in Tamworth, coming and going as you please.

Plan Australia national executive director Ian Wishart says this prize is a very generous act of goodwill during the Christmas season from Victorian Country Newspapers.  “They have donated this fantastic prize of two tickets on the Tamworth Country Music Train to help Plan let even more people know about its work in combating child poverty in developing countries.

“We just ask please take a moment to learn about Plan’s long term sustainable development work for children after entering the competition.

“Our work for children and their communities is mostly funded by the regular donations provided by child sponsorship. When one child is sponsored up to 100 people in that child’s community also benefit from projects such as health, education and clean water and sanitation,” Mr Wishart says.
