Craig Mottram joins Plan to support the Commonwealth's children

Craig Mottram, Australia’s best long distance runner is to be announced as Plan’s newest Goodwill Ambassador at a World AIDS Day breakfast in Melbourne on Thursday (1/12/05).

Craig Mottram will join Jamie Durie - Plan Goodwill Ambassador and TV celebrity landscape designer to raise awareness of the issues faced by children in developing Commonwealth nations under the banner Children are our Common Wealth for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Goodwill Partnership.

One of the four priority programs identified by the partnership – the "Reducing community Vulnerability to HIV/AIDS" Program , which operates in sub-Saharan Africa, will be showcased at the World AIDS Day breakfast.


For the lead up and during the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Craig Mottram’s role as Goodwill Ambassador will be to encourage more Australians to support Plan by sponsoring a child or donating to one of Plan’s child centred priority programs in developing Commonwealth nations.
