As a dedicated supporter of Plan, the Goodwill Partner of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Australian Project & Consulting Services Pty Ltd have helped raise much needed funds for projects in Commonwealth countries. 

Through various initiatives and child sponsorship, APCS, a foremost IT Services company specialising in Business Transformation and Project Delivery, are leading the way in corporate social responsibility by extending their involvement with the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games to the Plan Goodwill Partnership.

With the Commonwealth Games less than 4 weeks away and everyone involved busier than ever, it is encouraging to see companies make time to support the Goodwill Partnership.  APCS recently made a donation of $1500 to Plan, raised during the Christmas season in lieu of providing corporate Christmas gifts to customers and stakeholders.  This generous idea raised much needed funds to support the Youth Media Program through the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. 

The Youth Media Program allows nine talented young people from Plan-assisted youth media groups in Ghana, India and Pakistan to be roving reporters during the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.  Plan, along with APCS are proud to provide the nine young people from Commonwealth countries with an opportunity that will resonate for them, their peers and their communities long after the Games are over.

In addition to support for the Youth Media Program, APCS have shown further initiative by raising funds for Goodwill Partnership projects through a closed auction being held at the Hilton in late February.  This event will have Commonwealth Games memorabilia available for auction with proceeds going towards Plan projects in Commonwealth countries. 

Further to their already generous financial support, APCS will also be helping Plan with an IT disaster recovery / business continuity plan to ensure regardless of any circumstance, Plan will be able to operate and continue to support poverty ridden communities around the world in the event of a disaster.
