Children help with the clean-up effort of their flood-damaged school in Rizal, Philippines
Plan International is continuing to respond to the various disasters that have struck Asia over the past week.
Plan staff have moved quickly to assess the situation in each country and are responding appropriately with emergency needs and supplies along with implementing child protection measures where possible.

Plan has also deployed Australian staff members to Samoa and Indonesia. Child protection in emergencies specialist Amalia Fawcett has been in Samoa since Monday helping a collaborative NGO team lead child protection training for local organisations and Samoan government departments. Disaster management program manager Rohan Kent has been in Indonesia since Tuesday providing support to Plan Indonesia staff responding to the earthquake in the Padang region of Sumatra.
