To ensure child sponsorship maintains its effectiveness in the communities where Plan works, the monthly sponsorship rate has been increased to $39.

Plan commits globally to sending at least 80 cents in every dollar to projects that assist children, their families and communities escape poverty and reach their potential. 

Plan continues to monitor and minimise our overhead costs by gaining corporate in-kind support and by utilising volunteers both in our office and in the communities in which we work. However, some costs continue to rise, both here and in Plan's program countries.

This small increase of $4 per month, is our only increase in the past 3.5 years.
