Because the crisis in East Timor has interrupted Plan’s ongoing Water and Environmental Sanitation project in the Alieu district, publicly raised funds already received by Plan as at 30 April 2006 are being reallocated to water and environmental sanitation relief activities in Dili such as distribution of clean drinking water in camps, building temporary pit latrines in camps, health kits, soap distribution.

For such donations, the multiplier effect from AusAID advised during fundraising appeals will no longer apply.
