Experience an African village or a community in Central America - as seen through the eyes of children.
An initiative of Plan USA
The Virtual Visit is an online experience that provides a direct, engaging and real opportunity for sponsors, donors, educators and youth to see what life is like in communities where Plan works.
For example, you can visit the village of Nyalakot in the Tororo Province of eastern Uganda. Nyalakot is a rural farming community of about 6,200 people where poverty is endemic and average income amounts to about US$200 per person a year - less than $1 a day.
Meet community members, children, students and adults through video and images.
The videos, photos and other individual attributes of each Virtual Visit have been identified, directed, filmed, produced and edited by the children and youth — not by their parents, not by their teachers, not by Plan. The youth are given their chance to voice to the world how they see their communities — to share their lives with other people across the world.
