Plan Australia

Case Study

Tania Daniels, CAE Human Services Education Course Coordinator, said that when she asked if staff at CAE were interested in joining the Plan Workplace Giving scheme, the response was overwhelming.

"A lot of the staff were very enthusiastic. To decide on which project to support, I emailed staff saying these are our options and let's vote on it."

Tania said feedback from staff, since joining the scheme in June 2004, has been heartwarming.

"Some people have said it is their little way of contributing to a cause and others have said they felt quite lucky to live in a country where things are in abundance and are happy to help those who are less fortunate."

CAE (Centre for Adult Education) Support Plan Workplace Giving

As well as wanting to help others, the CAE staff felt Workplace Giving made it easy for them to do so: it was a convenient way to donate to a cause because things were already put in place.

"It makes giving a donation a simple process. Giving collectively, it also makes a bigger impact than being only able to give $5 here and $5 there."
